Speedup implementing AI/ML models to production

While building AI/ML model can be a relatively easy thing, build a production system on the top of this model is quite challenge. In this presentation we will discuss a potential organizational and technical gaps which should be filled up before run a model in production.

Andrii is a presale engineer in Google Cloud with a main focus on Ukranian market. Main purposes is to consulting and developing technical proficiency of customers of Google Cloud in Ukraine. Andrii is Google Professional Cloud Architect with more than 10 years of experience in IT, 7 of which is dedicated to cloud technologies.

YURII SERHIICHUK
Lead Software Engineer at TeamDev (Kharkiv, Ukraine)
GCP Server Environments in 40 minutes

In this talk, we'll discuss the server and hosting environments that GPC provides and analyze their pros and cons. During the talk, we'll slightly cover GCE as the IaaS from GCP, Cloud Run — the newest CaaS from Google, AppEngine Flex and Standard as PaaS solutions and finally Cloud Functions FaaS. We'll also see how to accomplish a pretty generic task using any of the highlighted services: how to build an auto-scalable application where the infrastructure will take care of the scaling by itself.

Yurii is a certified Google Cloud Architect and Data Engineer passionate in Cloud development and Java. He has more than 7 years of commercial enterprise development experience in Java working as a Senior Java Developer and Team Lead.
DMYTRO PANCHENKO
Machine Learning Engineer at AltexSoft (Kharkiv, Ukraine)
Optimizing neural networks for mobile with TensorFlow

It's about deep learning applications on mobile devices. We are going to discuss:

– architectures which are usually used;
– network optimizations (pruning, etc.);
– deploying model to mobile with TensorFlow.

Dmytro is a machine learning engineer strongly interested in the field of deep learning and its applications in computer vision. Currently he works with machine learning both in applied tasks and in academic research.

ARTEM NIKULCHENKO
Chief Software Architect at Cloud Works (Kharkiv, Ukraine)
Converting monolithic .NET application into scalable micro-services

During this session, we will talk about ways of adapting those technologies into business-oriented applications, step-by-step instructions, proc and cons of such solutions, and challenges that would be faced during that process.

Artem is software Architect with 10+ years of experience in architecture and developing software (Cloud Works, Teamwork Commerce, IBM Research Lab in Zurich). Author and co-author of 20+ scientific papers.
Senior Data Scientist at INSART, Consultant at Globallogic (Kharkiv, Ukraine)
Multiple Instance Learning

Multiple Instance Learning (MIL) is a type of weakly supervised learning, where we attempt to learn a concept from a training set of labeled bags, where each bag contains multiple unlabeled instances. As result of such unusual task formulation MIL has a special property — it allows to detect local patterns knowing only class labels assigned globally. This also can be used for results and model interpretation. In this report I will review several MIL algorithms and how they can be applied in practice.

Vladyslav is a lecturer at CMAD department of NTU «KhPI» and MasterCode ML courses, he also used to teach part of advanced ML course at KhNURE.
IEVGEN GOROVIY
CEO at It-Jim (Kharkiv, Ukraine)
Role of Machine Learning in Mixed Reality applications

We will consider key aspects of Mixed Reality system: what CV/ML algorithms make it work, what technical problems should be solved. And, most importantly, what things make it truly immersive.

Ievgen holds a PhD and is an author of more than 40 publications. He has a range of awards for the best papers and presentations at various international conferences. Also he is the founder and managing director of It-Jim company specializing in computer vision and pattern recognition.
FEDOR NAVRUZOV
Senior Data Scientist at Competera (Kyiv, Ukraine)
Seq2seq models for time series forecasting with Tensorflow

The talk is dedicated to building seq2seq models for multivariate time series with Tensorflow. We are going to discuss:

  • Pros and cons of traditional approaches and why they fail in more complex scenarios.
  • Preprocessing and transformation routines for mixed input/output data (scaling, de-trending difficulties, etc.)
  • Framing of a multi-step sales forecasting problem given multi-input tabular data over multiple SKUs as well as different approaches to target forecasting.
  • Architecture overview: from Dense single-output over RNN single-output to the generalized seq2seq models.
  • What dimensions can be additionally captured with above-mentioned setup.
  • Implementation hints for Tensorflow 1.x.
Fedor is machine learning enthusiast, winner of hackathons and data analytics competitions, Kaggle expert.
VLADYSLAV HALYTSKYI
ML Engineer at Competera (Kyiv, Ukraine)
Seq2seq models for time series forecasting with Tensorflow

Vladyslav will present the pair report with Fedor Navruzov.

Online Ranking Learning Using Data Series Stream

The problem of ranking learning has been intensively studied recently due to broad variety of important practical applications, ranging from classical problems of multi-criteria choice of alternatives to modern ones, such as information retrieval, machine translation, computational linguistics. Especially intensive the problem of ranking learning is studied in connection with the tasks of Internet data processing, in particular, with the purpose of information and document retrieval.

Leonid Lyubchyk is the Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of High School of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.
KLIM YAMKOVOY
Data Science Engineer at Quantum. PhD student at National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»
(Kharkiv, Ukraine)

Online Ranking Learning Using Data Series Stream

Online ranking learning problem associates with training data in the form of data series stream which is formed as sequences of series of the same items consist of several observations of features and relative ranks within each series. It is assumed that feature values and relative ranks of the same items may vary slightly for different series of observations, and there are stable groups of items with similar properties.

Klim is going to present the pair report with Leonid Lyubchyk.
VYACHESLAV KHARCHENKO

And the third part you can see in practice during the exhibition of paintings made in the style of Fluid Abstract Painting using augmented reality.

Vyacheslav represents the Department of computer systems, networks and cybersecurity, KhAI and Centre for safety infrastructure research and analysis, RPC Radiy. He is a coordinator of research and education projects (FP7, Tempus, Erasmus+, Horison2020, MES of Ukraine). Author 260 publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, co-editor of 7 books published by Springer, IGI Global, River Publishers. R&D interests: critical and green computing and technologies. Supervisor of 49 PhD and DrS (defended). President of Ukrainian Scientific and Education IT Society.

Online Learning of Activation Functions in Multilayer Neural Networks

Artificial neural networks (ANN) have been presently broadly applied to working out issues in the areas of Data Mining, Intelligent Control and Image Processing due to their multipurpose fitting approximate qualities and capabilities of training-learning by experimental data that characterize the functioning of a studied object or a studied phenomenon. A case is getting substantially more complicated if data come sequentially for processing.

Linguistic technologies for identifying knowledge

The identification and extraction of information from texts and its presentation in the form of a formal knowledge system is an important task in the field of automatic processing of texts in a natural language. Information extraction is an approach that allows you to narrow down the range of tasks that require a specific subject-oriented solution in the analysis of the text.
